Mike Harper is becoming one of the nations leading opinion makers on NASCAR and ARCA racing topics. With an aggressive hard hitting style, Mike holds nothing back in his Spin Out Zone columns.
The Spin Out Zone column was established in 2001 after Mike was a guest columnist on Frontstrech.com. With readers wanting more "Spin Outs," Mike joined forces with RacinDeals.com as a regular columnist in 2002.
At the beginning of the 2005 racing season, Mike's Spin Out Zone column was added as a regular feature in SpeedWorld Magazine. SpeedWorld is a worldwide publication owned by Synergy Publishing International, a diversified multi-media communications corporation headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, U.S.A. The magazine can be purchased online or it can be found at Wal-Mart, Barnes and Noble Booksellers and other fine retailers.
Also in 2005, Mike joined the NASCAR industry's second largest media web site, ThatsRacin.com. Mike's contributions can be found in the Turn 3 section on the web site. ThatsRacin.com is produced by The Charlotte Observer, which is owned by The McClatchy Company, the second-largest newspaper company in the United States.
In 2006, Mike joined 21 other NASCAR media personalities as an official NASCAR expert to vote on the new HeadBlade.com Top 20 NASCAR Driver Poll published each week by StockCarPitPass.com.
Mike's work has been published on the Official ARCA web site, used on SPEED Channel, NASCAR driver web sites, NASCAR driver fan club newsletters, radio and message boards. Mike is a regular guest on ESPN Radio, RaceTalkRadio.com and weekly on WHEELZ 101 & 104.5 FM in Mid-Michigan. He has also been a guest on Fox Sports Radio.
In 2007, Mike started hosting the Inside the ARCA RE/MAX Series radio show on RaceTalkRadio.com.
Mike has interviewed many ARCA and NASCAR stars, television executives/personalities from ESPN, Fox Sports and SPEED Channel, and national personalities like wrestler/movie star Bill Goldberg and Commander in Chief of the United States Central Command from July 2000 through July 2003, General Tommy Franks.
When Mike is not working on his columns or the Spin Out Zone web site, he oversees business development, account management and operations in the Great Lakes Region for one of the nations largest management companies (and major NASCAR sponsor), in the business of consulting Universities, Professional Sporting Organizations and some of the nations largest corporations.
Mike was born and raised in Texas and currently resides in Michigan with his wife, Charlene and son, Tyler.
